For professional firms: law, accounting, advisory

# A secure AI workspace for every client of your firm.

Each client gets their own private workspace: their documents, their questions,
their answers. Staff open only the clients they're assigned to, and every firm is
kept apart from every other. Ask a question and get an answer that names its source.

## Sound familiar?

AI is already in use in your firm. How do you manage it, and how do you control
it?

### Client documents in public AI tools

Every time a client's file is pasted into a general chatbot, it leaves your control.
Most firms can't see it happening and can't stop it.

### One chat, many clients

When documents from several clients sit in the same chat or tool, answers can mix
them up. One client's details can end up in another client's answer, and nobody
notices.

### Everyone can reach everything

Staff who can open one client's file can often open all of them. Confidentiality
becomes a matter of trust, not a rule the system enforces.

## Private by design

Confidentiality is built into how the system is set up, not left to staff to remember.

### A workspace for every client

Each client's documents, questions and answers live in their own workspace. Scanned
PDFs are read like any other document.

### Staff see only their clients

Your practice manager decides who can open which client. People see only the clients
they're given access to, and administrators can't browse chat history.

### Answers only from the client's workspace

The chat uses only the documents in that client's workspace and names the source,
so staff can check it. Drafts are marked for review.

### Message logging is off

Our gateway is set not to keep the text of questions or documents in its logs.

### Trace usage per client

See which client each piece of AI work was for, so usage can be accounted for and,
if you choose, charged back to the client.

## Why Pātaka

A pātaka is a storehouse raised on posts, where a community kept what it valued
most.

Your clients trust you with their records. We chose the name because the job is
the same: look after what is entrusted to you, and make it easy to reach for the
people who need it. Pronounced PAH-tah-kah.

### One place for what matters

A storehouse keeps everything in one ordered place. Each client gets their own workspace,
so their documents are together and easy to find.

### Raised and kept apart

A pātaka stood on posts, clear of the ground, to keep what was inside safe. Each
firm here has its own app, storage and logins, apart from every other firm.

### Looked after by its people

A storehouse is only as good as the people who look after it. Your staff stay in
charge: they decide what goes in and who can open it.

## Simple pricing

A monthly fee per user that includes a set amount of AI use, then usage at cost
plus a small margin.

Pricing details to come.

## Questions

Will it make things up?

It's set to answer from the client's documents, to name the source, and to say when
it can't find something. Drafts are marked for review. It's an assistant for qualified
staff, not a replacement for professional advice.

We already use Copilot or ChatGPT. What's different?

Those are general tools. Pātaka is organised around your clients: one workspace
per client, your templates and checklists, deadlines first, and a budget and dashboard
for the firm.

How long does it take to get started?

Your firm can be set up the same day once we have your name and your users. After
that, your practice manager adds clients in a short form.

Can it connect to our document store or practice management system?

Today, documents are uploaded in the app. Connecting a shared folder or your email,
and practice systems, are on our roadmap; tell us what you use.

Who can see our clients' information?

Only your firm's users, and only for the clients they're given access to. Chat history
isn't open for browsing by administrators, including us.
